Are you pregnant and have heard yoga has amazing benefits on the prenatal body or are you already a yogi, now wanting to safely continue your practice? Yogabellies for Pregnancy sessions are unique, revolutionary prenatal yoga classes for pregnant women. Yogabellies uses traditional yoga postures, the asana, adapted and beneficial for pregnancy and the common ailments associated with pregnancy. Yogabellies for Pregnancy classes also includes an specially created combination of self-hypnosis and yoga nidra, your deep relaxation, and breathing techniques for pregnancy and birth, the pranayama.

Yogabellies pre-natal yoga classes are gentle and safe for all women, whether you are brand new to yoga or have years of practice when you need to slow down in pregnancy. At Yogabellies with Ellie we will shine a light on the myths of pregnancy and birth, fill you with confidence and options and empower you to become that Goddess with a bump.

Our classes run in four or eight class blocks with a new class each week.  These blocks can be joined any week there is space available and repeated again and again to build on your practice and knowledge. There are new postures and information every class as we evolve. Please note this is a journey not a drop in gym style class although there are drop ins available for those not able to journey!

Each class lasts an hour and each week focuses on a different aspect of pregnancy and birth. Each week we learn how to effectively breath in pregnancy and birth, discover different topics to help you through your pregnancy and prepare yourself for the big day. You will enjoy a guided relaxation with gentle self-hypnosis where you can relax your mind as well as your body. Yeeha! All that plus a new 40-minute yoga sequence each week from targeting different areas of the pregnant body which need TLC, to yoga postures used to help enhance labour and to use in early labour. To accompany your journey you will receive an e pack each week sent directly to your inbox with all things pregnancy and birth. This E PACK is a little OM in your INBOX. Educate yourself with all my knowledge from over the years, and receive extra breathing techniques,yoga practice and guided relaxations to do or listen to at home. These e packs are an essential guide to the modern day Om Mom in pregnancy.

 

For all pregnancy yoga classes please wear comfy clothes and bring something cosy for relaxation, a light cover and a wee cushion. Bring your mat, some water to hydrate and any questions your have on pregnancy and birth.

Bonding with baby and preparing for Motherhood. How do I bond with my baby, am I really bonding with my baby?

Ideas on what to do in pregnancy to connect and to prepare yourself to be that Om Mom. Yoga poses which work with your baby helping them into a comfortable (and optimal birthing) position. Postures and breathing to calm the mind to make you Om, mom. A beautiful, guided relaxation to help you go inside and bond with your baby. This class will help you feel the connection together and add that sprinkle of pregnancy joy.

Emotional balance versus physical balance. Why are my emotions so up and down and why do I feel like I’m all over the place (physically and mentally!)

Help your posture and balance in this class whilst connecting with the mind and the body. Here we also practice breathing for birth itself preparing you mentally which in turn relaxes the body. Relax and enjoy a guided meditation and leave feeling (mentally, and hopefully more physically!) balanced and ready to take pregnancy hormones on!

Comfort during birth. How will I get through the birthing experience? From early labour to breathing your baby down.

Working with the breath for birth and postures to help enhance a natural quicker labour This class will help you understand postures that will prepare the body, open the body and the pelvis during early and active labour and comfortable positions to breath a baby down (whilst working with that all important thing gravity!)
